We found a caterpillar!

Yesterday we planted out some flowers in our planter box outside Room 5. A lovely parent from Room 3 donated the flowers to the juniors to make our environment nice, and to help up learn about plants.
We looked at the roots of the plant and how they take up the water and nutrients to feed the plant. We looked at the stem and the leaves where the plant makes its food using the sunshine, and we made the flowers a nice home in the soil where it could hold steady and grow strong.

THEN.... we found a little green caterpillar and had turns holding it with Chloe our student helper.
We loved holding it gently, and we loved finding it a new safe home...
